The 20 Questions

Enero 15, 2008

A tag from Raymond. I need to answer these twenty questions.

RULES:

Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. Notify them in their chat box that he/she has been tagged.

1.) Have you ever made a wish on a falling star? Did it come true?
Falling or not, I always make a wish upon the stars. Sarap mag-stargazing sa bubong namin. Some of my wishes did come true.

2.) At what age do you wish to marry?
I’m not so sure. I have no time-line where marriage is concern.

3.) What color do you like most?
At the moment, I like orange. Since moving to a new place last year, I’m able to marvel at the beautiful sunset again. Especially on weekends, where I can just sit at the roof deck and wait for the sun to set, until it’s completely hidden behind the mountains.

4.) Where is the place that you want to go the most?
France. I’d like to visit its countryside. But I’ve yet to learn French and have yet to save up for my plane ticket, pocket money and other travel expenses. When will it happen? I don’t know. Maybe in the years to come.

5.) Which part of you that you hate the most?
Hmmm… This is a tricky question. 😀 Let’s see. I’m comfortable with myself, so, maybe, it’s not right that I should hate anything about me.

6.) When you encounter a sad moment, what do you do?
I have this tendency of brooding over sad events, especially if I’m not the affected person. Ewan ko ba. I feel sad for sad people.

7.) What are you afraid to lose the most?
Of course, the people that matter to me most.

8.) If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Buy myself a car, because I really need it. Then, I’ll save some of the remaining money and share some.

9.) If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
I’m too shy to do that. So, NO, I will not. 😀

10.) List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.
Foo is a new blog friend. Pero mukhang mabait naman sya, malamang computer wiz din, at halatang devoted blogger!

11.) What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
Be a good person most of the time and be crazy once in a while!

12.) Till now, what is the moment that you regret the most?
Not spending more time with my baby niece. I didn’t realize I wasn’t always there for her until the day that she had to leave and be cradled once more in God’s loving embrace.

13.) Which type of person do you hate the most?
Yung mga plastic lang, tapos yung mga sinungaling din.

14.) What is your ambition?
To travel the world! Hahahaha!

15.) What is the thing that will make you think he is bad?
Pag di sya marunong rumespeto.

16.) What is it that people doesn’t know about you?
Secret. Hehehe. I still don’t want them to know. 😀

17.) What is your motto in life?
Cliché, but I do follow the golden rule. Isa pang cliché: Patience is indeed a virtue.

18.) What kind of chocolate do you prefer?
Dark chocolate. The bitter the taste, the more I love it. 😀

19.) In 2008, do you have a new year’s resolution?
I don’t make resolutions. I just try to be a better person everyday. 😀

20.) If your better half is cheating on you, will you forgive her?
I will forgive him. But it would also signal that its time we live “separate lives.”

Hey, MC, Sherma, WitchyBoop, Mitsuru, Len, Hitokirihoshi, Tayns, and Arminnehaha-it’s your turn to answer them!

Pahabol – A Post-Holiday Entry

Enero 9, 2008
I never got around to posting any holiday entry last month, so I’m doing it now. Better late than never `di ba? 😀
The Holiday Season, straight from my cellphone’s camera:
Side stories:
A: Christmas tree at the reception area of our office-the very first Christmas picture I took last year (around November).
B: By the elevators at the lobby of our office building. Took this picture while waiting for my other officemates to come down.
C: A kiosk that sells Christmas lanterns from Pampanga.
D: The other side of the kiosk.

E: Hanging Christmas wreaths at a mall, which I pass by everyday on weekdays. View from the ground floor.

F: “Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!” Electronic-operated decors that give snow effect on (artificial) Christmas trees.

G: View from the top. See the giant golden snowflakes?

H: 2007’s giant Christmas tree in Cubao (Araneta Center). That’s how it looks at daytime.

I: Well-lit giant Christmas tree at night. Took the picture while stuck in traffic. D

J: GMA Network’s Christmas tree. Again, a shot taken from the window of a vehicle. The diver had to stop in Kamuning–at the MMDA office (figure out why he, the driver, had to do that. Hehehe)

K: My nephew, hugging a Php2, 500-worth giant balloon Santa.

L: Christmas wreath on our door. Thanks to the sales clerk who helped us put it together!

M: Our humble tree, which perfectly fit the corner of our little house.

N: New Year’s Eve; fireworks starting to light up the streets in our neighborhood.

O: Another New Year’s Eve snap.

P: New Year won’t be complete without fireworks ablaze in the sky.

I hope you had a joyful Christmas and may this year be good to us all. Cheers!

Looking Forward To

Enero 8, 2008
I watched some of the film entries in the recently concluded Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). What really caught my attention was the trailer of the full-length animated film Urduja that was being shown before the featured film. Here’s a glimpse to this upcoming movie:
According to legends, “Urduja” is a 14th century warrior-princess who ruled the Kingdom of Tawalisi in Pangasinan. She was famous for leading a group of woman warriors who were skilled fighters and equestrian. Historical reference to Princess Urduja can be found in the travel account of Ibn Battuta, a Muslim traveler from Morocco. He stopped by Tawalisi on his way to China and had known Princess Urduja.
Urduja will be in theaters some time this year. I will definitely see this one.

Peculiar Persona

Enero 4, 2008
Aren’t we all, in one way or another, weird? The Witch tagged me to share some of my weird characteristics.
These are the rules:
  • Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
  • Share seven (7) random and/or weird facts about yourself.
  • Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
  • Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a notification on their blog.

Weird Truths About Salve:

1. My mind is more awake at night. I can will myself not to sleep (although, I know, it’s not healthy) just to finish the book I’m reading or the movies I’m watching.

2. I enjoy the company of kids. I feel safe with them (maybe because kids won’t judge you the way adults do).

3. I’m too calm that sometimes I feel like it’s not normal anymore. “Panic” is almost non-existent in my vocabulary.

4. I arrange my bags/shoes according to function, my books according to author/subject and my DVDs according to genre.

5. When eating banana, I like to dip it in soy sauce with kalamansi (金柑) especially after eating fried tilapia (syempre, may tira pang toyo’t kalamansi n’on!)

6. I don’t put salt when I cook sunny side-up or scrambled egg (I prefer milk or cheese in my scrambled egg) for breakfast and everyone complains when they’ve tasted it.

7. I love the smell of durian! Whenever I’m in the supermarket, I linger around the fruits section para lang maamoy yung durian.

There goes the seven weird things about me. I’d like to know yours: misyel, rhapsody, doc joy, joyce, len, tim, and mithi.
