Caleruega (Philippines) Weekend

If you want to spend some quiet moments, refresh your mind, feel close to nature and God, Caleruega is the perfect place to go; located in Brgy. Kaylayaw, Batulao, Nasugbu Batangas. As described in the flyer given to visitors at the gate, Caleruga is a house (place) of prayer and renewal. It is equipped with facilities for activities like retreats, recollections, prayer and renewal workshops, and other religious and environmental-related assemblies. But you can also go for a day’s visit. Like what I did last weekend. For 30 pesos entrance fee, you can enjoy the breathtaking views, clear your mind and find peace.

my class held our senior retreat at Caleruega 2 years ago. 3 days aren’t enough for me, i wanted to stay longer because it really is a place to relax (escape the pressures of thesis defense and terror professors) and most importantly just to commune with God. so the following weekend, i went back together with my boyfriend. I thought our relationship might need some quiet time too.πŸ˜€

next time, stop over at Bag of Beans Cafe in Tagaytay, located just a few kilometers away from Caleruega. 5 out of 5 stars for that little hidden cafe/bakeshop. super sarap talaga, ang ganda pa ng place.

Salve: I wanted to stay longer din, but I only had a day. I’m planning to come back. I’ll definitely include that coffee shop in my list of places to visit. thanks for telling me about it, vera.πŸ™‚
